Alfabeat invested in RoboCamp

Alfabeat Fund invested $530,000 in RoboCamp, a company creating online textbooks on robotics and programming.

2018 was a very successful year for Alfabeat. Together with WeWork the fund has invested in British startup Andiamo, which produces orthoses for children. The company has already established cooperation with Ethan Allen – one of the largest furniture distributors in the USA – and is expanding into the American market.

Latest investment: programming in primary school

Interest in programming is growing rapidly in Poland . The aim of the RoboCamp project is to arouse interest in programming in the youngest groups – among children and youth.

RoboCamp was established in 2006. The company offers online textbooks. They enable teachers without any specialist preparation to teach robotics and programming. Based on the cutting-edge educational techniques, textbooks are addressed mainly at primary and secondary schools. RoboCamp’s services are also used by museums and libraries and by other companies operating in the educational field. RoboCamp courses are used by 50,000 students per year.

The project has received many awards – the last one was awarded during Startup Europe Awards, where RoboCamp won a prize for the most creative startup on the Old Continent.

With the funds obtained from Alfabeat, the company plans to develop an e-learning platform for mobile devices, create a simple graphical language for an e-learning platform and implement new functionalities in order to individualize teaching azlimo.com. Moreover, the founders want to enlarge their portfolio of courses and expand into foreign markets – especially German, French and Spanish-speaking ones.

It was not without reason that the founders of the company decided to start cooperation with Alfabeat.

  • We have established cooperation with Alfabeat because the fund focuses on expansion into foreign markets. We were in talks with several funds from Poland and abroad to to finally find the one that shares our ambitions and at the same time understands our product and business model well. We wanted not only financing, but also substantive support – says Wojciech Syrocki, the founder of the RoboCamp project. Click here if you are looking cctv cameras installation in dublin.
